Students need to be exposed to and learn about classic literature. I teach a class of Shakespeare and also teach Shakespeare in my on-level English classes. Many times students get bogged down by Shakespeare, but I want to make it come to life for them. This will be done through Shakespeare puppet theater and reenactments of the plays. Students will get to participate in Shakespeare plays. They will get to dress up in costumes and reenact certain scenes from the plays we read. They will also get to create specific scenes in the plays and put on a puppet show for their fellow classmates. This promotes working together and helping one another. This is hands-on learning and makes it more authentic for the students.
