My students are energetic and resourceful. Despite coming from a low-income, poverty stricken community, they come to school every day eager to learn. They come to school to escape from their home lives. They overcome and persevere in their everyday battles. I’m here to support them and help them graduate from high school. In my sports and recreational class we learn to play games that they can do later in life. Tennis is a great game and students love to play. Corn hole is another game that has become huge during family events. In my class students learn the rules of the games and sportsmanship.
