The COVID pandemic has brought lots of challenges to our world. One of those challenges has been supply disruptions. This seems like a great time to encourage self-sufficiency in certain areas of life. This project will promote life-skills that will encourage self-sufficiency in my students. Students are naturally curious about the world around them. I think it would be interesting to use this curiosity to complete a project to learn about where our food truly comes from. We are going to start by growing a class garden! The seed starter and class greenhouse will be used to start these seedlings and then we will transfer the seeds outside to our outdoor garden area. We are also going to hatch quail or chicken eggs in our class incubator! These types of projects are what create memories for years to come, and these skills can be used for a lifetime!
