The items purchased for this project will be used to create a simulated "dig" site for excavating artifacts from colonial times. Students will work in pairs to examine artifacts to determine a deeper understanding of life in the colonies. This hands-on project will help students gain knowledge of life in colonial times in a fun and engaging way. They will work with partners to unearth artifacts then determine what they would have been used for and who might have used the artifacts. Students will also determine similarities and differences in the past and present.
