The resources I have chosen will be used to create more learning centers in my PreK classroom. I currently have enough materials to maintain groups of four to five students at a time. By adding more materials I can create more center options. That way only two students will be in the same area at the same time. Along with masks and cleaning centers in-between visits, this will lower the risks of exposure to my students. I hope to contribute to the continuation of hands-on learning. It is the most natural learning environment for early childhood. If we were to go to distance learning I would now have more materials to send home in take-home packs. I can create small tubs with manipulatives for parents to check out. Students would be able to share their classrooms with their families and report back to me about their experiences. The requested materials can also be used to create engaging zoom sessions with my students. Keeping young learners interested during a zoom call can be difficult, but these materials can be used to create a more interesting experience. The animals can be used along with stories or to aid in a counting activity. The felt storyboards can be used as a more entertaining option for storytime.
