Many of my students struggle to sit still in the usual hard plastic chairs. I would love to be able to provide them with several options of flexible seating so that they could wiggle while learning. Flexible seating increases core strength in students, and in a time when many public parks and play places were closed due to the pandemic, students need this opportunity more than ever. Flexible seating also improves focus, and for my kindergarteners, many of which have never been in a school setting before, this would be a great advantage for them. Flexible seating also fosters decision-making abilities, which is a life-long skill. Studies have shown how effective flexible seating is in the classroom for not only students with ADHD and ASD, but all students. I believe that the products I have chosen will make make a big and lasting impact on my little learners' engagement in the classroom.
