We are in the digital age. There are apps, electronic games, digital books, etc. As an educator of over 30+ years, I have found that students are so familiar with the digital format, they sometimes "tune" out. Digital formats are marvelous and I do utilize them myself. However, I have noticed that when I present my students with an actual book, or a tangible resource, they are more engaged. The Scholastic Magazines offer many fascinating and colorful stories and activities that the students can hold and engage with. This engagement will help me to help my students grow in the skills for acquiring English proficiency.
