Do you remember reading your first chapter book as a child? Think of the satisfaction you felt when that book came to an end. My students have discovered chapter and novels this year. However, the pandemic has left my left class reading below grade level. We need more novels to read, to listen to audibly. Daily I hear "One more chapter" requested, it is a wonderful request. Most importantly to spread out seating in our classroom. Flexible seating would give us the ability to spread out in a small classroom which is critical for Covid19.
