The geometry tools will be sent home with geometry students when they are learning remotely. This will allow them to continue to develop the skills they need to grasp geometry construction concepts even when not allowed in the classroom due to COVID closures. With use of the actual tools, they can actually perform geometric constructions and measures and aren’t restricted to just watching someone else do it on a video. This will enhance their grasp of the concepts as it would in a live classroom. I often tell my students that math is a ‘full-contact’ sport, and this means they have to actually ‘do’ the work to understand.
