I have many students who are below grade level in reading. It is my passion to instill confidence in their ability to read and hopefully help them find some books they enjoy. Many of my lowest readers lack stamina and interest in reading. Since the pandemic, they lack engagement and focus more than ever before. I believe one thing I can do to help encourage them to read and learn is to allow them flexibility and movement in the classroom. I have seen more engagement in my students when I let them move around the room to work and read.
