In my classroom, I don't have a lot of up-to-date books and especially a very limited selection of books for students who read 8th-10th grade level. I only have a few class sets of books that are used over and over each year. Many of the books in my classroom are books the kids have read before. I try to buy books the most that I can. These days, it is hard to get kids interested in reading, but I try to buy books that I think my students would be interested in. I choose these books to give the students more of an opportunity to open their minds to new experiences and new worlds. I want to get my students interested in reading, which helps with so many aspects in their overall learning while they are in school. Reading is everything! Reading helps with vocabulary, spelling, and most importantly, comprehension. That is why I would like to get these books.
