These resources that I have chosen will give my students an emotional and physical break from everyday classroom assignments. They will be able to clear their mind and relax doing activities to relieve stress during their day at school, such as putting together puzzles, building structures, making things out of play-doh, and sharing books that target character building and how to treat one another. Students need a time during the day to decompress and explore other activities that give their brain and body a time to rest. Students that receive this time will perform more efficient in the classroom and as an individual. Their cognitive ability will be enriched by these activities as well by creating teamwork and enhancing problem solving skills. Covid-19 has impacted our student's mental health. I feel these resources and activities will help them emotionally and psychologically in a safe and positive environment.
