The materials I chose for my classroom will help my students realize that they are in an environment that emphasizes learning. By choosing flexible seating for my classroom, I will be allowing my students who struggle with comfort and focus in traditional desks to be able to pull their focus from what their seats feel like and be able to focus on the work that we are doing in class. I also chose to incorporate portable stove burners for my transitions class, as we focus on so many life skills, including cooking. These life skills will help my students be a success as they transition to independent living after school.
