My goal is for students to find a book that they will love. Having a wide variety of modern texts that are high-interest is vital to creating a reading culture. Once they find that first book that they love, they will be hooked! Through literature circles, students can explore texts, discuss with their groups, and engage with great literature. Covid and virtual learning has greatly impacted students reading paper books without being distracted by their devices. I want to give them the space and joy of reading, not just for class, but for life.

About my class
