The requested resources will help me continue to share make and take resources for students to utilize both in small group work and at home to ensure learning does not stop when they leave instruction with me.
Hands-on learning means minds-on learning! The Overhead Book and Document Scanner will allow for quality literature to be shared in real-time with students as we learn virtually. The Drum Unit is needed to keep our laser printer maintained properly to make copies of resources for students. The laminator refills are needed so we can make the resources more durable for repeated use for both classroom centers and in-home use. Students will store and organize the resources in the 3-ring binders with tabs for easy retrieval.
With these resources, students and I will create notebooks of resources for kinesthetic and tactile learning activities for them. Many of my students read below-grade level whether it's because they have a learning disability or are a multi-lingual learner. Using Science of Reading resources and activities, we have seen such growth already this year. With these additional resources, I will be able to continue to grow their literacy skills to ensure they become lifelong learners.
