Most children go to school and don’t have to worry about having meltdowns, anxiety attacks or fits of rage. These materials I am seeking will help my students have a place to feel safe and help them in the de-escalation process. Since the covid pandemic, the national board of pediatrics has declared an emergency in mental health for children. These kids need help and I want to help them. Most classrooms don’t have enough space for sensory furniture and things for de-escalation but I have a special room with space for this type of resource. These resources can help a student continue with the educational process by helping them deescalate and be able to stay at school.
