Amid the pandemic, many of my students have never been in a large group type setting such as a child care center or Mother's Day out program. Their communication skills have not been peer related therefore we will work with one another and build strong relationships through play and communication. We will take turns listening to each other when using our "speaking voice." For example: "Can I be the mom and you be the daughter?" "What would you like for dinner?" The dollhouse families and furniture will provide my students the opportunity to use their imagination, develop cooperative play skills and learn about families and communities.
