As a first grade teacher of students who are reading below level, reading repetition is key in my students' success! Leveled readers, phonics readers, and book sets are part of our daily routine. My 20 fabulous first graders would greatly benefit from their own library full of leveled books just for them! Introducing new materials and keeping lessons fresh are important to keep the attention of my students. While these materials will not go home with the students, they will be used daily in the classroom and the skills learned will be applied in many areas throughout their day.
