My students have never had a Social-Emotional Learning component to their daily academic schedule. The addition of an elementary counselor this year has allowed me to incorporate such a program at our school. The students have shown increased peer interaction and academic growth since starting the program in September through daily student led announcements. My goal is to use the digital content creator to implement student led morning announcements through our school sponsored youtube channel. Students have been excited to lead their peers in daily announcements and hope to start a weekly news cast, called "Tiger Tales" where they create the content and record themselves like a real news crew.
