Because of the impact Covid 19 has had on my students’ early education, they are coming to me at all different stages of beginning reading. Having a variety of literacy materials will help me meet each student where they are in their journey and take them farther. Not every student learns in the same way, so a variety of materials will help that way too. Some need a hands-on experience while others need to hear and/or see something to successfully learn it. The word building items will allow me to create hands on literacy centers for those students. Having appropriate literacy centers can allow me to give each student the experience that benefits them the most. The resource books will be a great asset in my writing curriculum. It’s very hard to encourage some students to begin the process of writing a complete sentence. Having multiple opportunities is essential. The Teachers Pay Teachers card will help me supplement all areas of instruction with great resources.
