My students come from diverse homes. School is their comfort and safety. By providing materials that encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and compassion, I am giving my students an opportunity to improve their social skills. My students are just entering the world of school and education, after spending much of their little lives quarantined or at home with their families. Unfortunately, not all homes are encouraging compassion and kindness. I have a mission to fill those gaps. I provide my students time to interact with materials such as farm animals or baby dolls, to give them a sense of taking care of others, being compassionate, sharing, and problem-solving. I provide building toys such as blocks or LEGO to strengthen fine motor skills and spark creativity. I strive to provide a safe and loving learning environment. Play is essential to young learners and their development. By providing quality resources for my students, I am able to foster relationships with their peers and encourage their emotional and social well-being. Students learn important life lessons by interacting with their classmates. They learn problem-solving skills, compassion, and strengthen their imaginations! My students don't always have the best home lives, but they ALWAYS show up and do their best!
