Since the pandemic started, it has had a trickle effect on the students’ learning abilities. First grade is more developmental, hands on, kids are very dependent and needy, need time for play, one step directions, lots of prep work for the teacher. The intervention resources I chose for my classroom will help with these hands on learning activities. (Mostly for my small group times) The bar has been raised. We have to do the best we can with the curriculum we are ordered to teach....whether it’s developmentally appropriate or not. These resources will help me do my job because I think it can be quite a jump in expectations from first to second grade. First grade can be fun at times!! We will be able to use the color printer to create fun, colorful, art projects in our class!!
