My students show me daily, their desire to learn and grow! They work hard, but let's face it, we started this school year, along with last school year at a disadvantage. With the Covid-19 pandemic, we have lost a lot of time in the classrooms. Our classroom, like so many others, came into this school year with lower than normal achievement rankings. We have worked to try to overcome the deficits, however, we still have lots of work to do to achieve this. I think providing my students with more hands-on, engaging reading activities in a fun and playful nature will be a positive for their self-esteem as they begin to achieve more success through play!
