Due to Covid, students have drastically decreased the number of books they read. Social media has skyrocketed. Students would rather watch 30 second video clips than read a book. However, this is causing a drastic fall in our kids' vocabulary, comprehension, and reasoning skills. We need to get back to students feeling comfortable reading a good book. I have worked to incorporate reading of all genres into my everyday class. Having a wider variety of books will help with this task.
