For centuries, language-learning has been focused on memorizing vocabulary lists and drilling grammatical patterns, despite the fact that none of us learned to speak our mother tongue in that way. "Comprehensible Input" is the name of the only research-backed method of teaching a foreign language, and in the decade or two since it was introduced, it has proven to be highly effective. The guides in my Teachers Pay Teachers cart will support me as I learn to provide "Comprehensible Input", and will enable my students to learn German in the way most similar to the way they learned English.
