The materials for my project are TpT gift cards, books for writing, and books on comprehension strategies and skills. I feel my students need extra help in these areas because their last "normal" year of school would have been kindergarten because of the pandemic! They missed out on so many essential skills that they needed to learn in 1st grade by missing a whole 9 weeks. Their 2nd grade year wasn't much better because of having to quarantine several different times throughout the year. By funding my project you will help me instill the love of reading into my students. I feel that reading is one of the most important skills that a person can have. Please help me teach this complex process to my students. I plan to do a lot of small group learning with my students and both sets of books I am asking for will help me with that. I will use the TpT gift cards to buy things for my students that will make it easier for them to catch up after almost 3 years of having to deal with the pandemic.
