My 5th grade Reading/ELA students are in need of read aloud books. We need books that will allow our students to develop their vocabulary and ability to empathize with the characters. This will allow them to become more self aware and aware of others and their feelings. Having these books and reading out loud will help develop their comprehension skills. Due to the pandemic, students have lost the ability to read grade level appropriate text. By reading aloud to them daily, I am hoping to spark a desire for them to read on their own, which will help fill the gap.

About my class
