Just like any other skill, reading must be practiced so my students read independently for at least thirty minutes each day. They need a classroom library that will keep them engaged and excited about reading. Since students have a wide range of reading ability I need a large library that will provide options. I provide a comfortable cozy area for students to curl up with books of their choosing. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
