The stools I am requesting will be used at a group learning table I currently use in my classroom. This will provide a multi-use space where students can work together on projects and I can provide group interventions for students that need a little extra teacher time. The stools can be easily moved to students’ desks, where they can move freely and rock on them if they have a bit of extra energy or anxiety that day. The rocking chair I currently have in my classroom is very old and falling apart. It also makes loud noises when rocked and is distracting to those that aren’t using it. My students absolutely love this rocking chair and I have multiple requests to use it all day, every day. They love to sit and read in this chair, and it provides a comfortable space of their own to wind down if they need to.
