My students are eager to immediately practice, check, and correct math. They are also excited to practice language skills as they improve daily. These materials will help with classroom practice in both areas. As they follow class lessons in math and language, they can gain immediate feedback and maintain their enthusiasm in an environment they prefer. (There is an added benefit of safety protocols as having their personal materials can help reduce spread of COVID). By participating in their favorite learning activities under their terms, our students are fed the excitement of discovery in a way that is meaningful and beneficial to them. Classroom reading sets will also give them a sense of ownership and self-determination for their own literacy in a series that promises enjoyment, advancement in skills and vocabulary, and perpetuating these benefits through serial reading.
