My students have a strong desire to learn to weld and develop the skills required to have a successful career in their chosen field. By adding to the number of welding helmets we have in our Ag Shop, we will be able to spend more time learning and less time disinfecting. This additional time spent welding will help better prepare the students for a future in their chosen career field. On more than one occasion I've heard comments from current and past students such as "welding is the only thing I have actually used that I learned while in school." This is an indication to me about how important it is to teach our students a trade, such as welding.
