A literacy rich environment filled with books of different genres, various interests, and multiple levels will encourage a love for reading, whether it be independent or with assistance. Adding leveled readers will enable students to receive instructional level intervention in a guided reading group. Sensory spaces in schools have been shown to decrease negative behaviors and improve student engagement. Many of my students have difficulty with focusing, which makes it very difficult for them to remain on task. Adding sensory gadgets will enable my students to relax and focus on learning by regulating their senses.
