Since the beginning of the pandemic students are learning to become more responsible for their education. Education is drastically changing and we need to remember the students are THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF EDUCATION! Students need a little extra SEL (Social Emotional Learning) to help cope with at-home learning. This project will help interlace Social Emotional Learning with Language Arts, Writing and Physical Education. It will give us an amazing set of activities and objects that will help students cope with their feelings and emotions during this changing time in education. The materials and supplies that I am requesting will help students thrive during this difficult time. The Worry Monsters will help students deal with issues at home and with school. We will use the journals to help with writing as well as dealing with their feelings. This group of students are living in a time that is different from any other in recent history. They need these activities to help with coping as well as getting their education. Many students that have school from home don't have the same resources as those in brick and mortar. My hope is they feel a little less pressure and gain more confidence.
