With the pandemic beginning it's third year, our students have lost precious time in class whether it be for closures or illness. My students are behind but are also excited to learn, especially when the activity is hands on. Making models is a standard seen throughout Science and even Math. Allowing my students to create those models with their hands and allowing them to decorate their vision helps to keep their excitement up. The clay and paint will help my students with their model creations. The paper will help them to see nature in a different way. All activities will be used to not only help them with their interest level, but tie into what we are learning in class.
