The block area will also promote social skills and encourage verbal communication with peers. They love to pretend, and make the characters talk. Therefore, this promotes speaking and engages them in the activity. The block shelf and small group reading areas will encourage structure, and promote and improve their reading skills during our small group time, as well as improve speaking skills.
