These books are going to address several different needs for my students. First, it will provide them with "mirrors and windows" to see young adults who have disabilities or uniqueness be successful or make a difference in their own stories and not just be a sidekick. Also, having options for the students to read an intriguing story that will pique their interest and engage their curiosity to research more about the Holocaust is a plus. Due to the pandemic, most of my students do not have the opportunity to check out books or have books available to them. Although my students desire to read more it is hard for them to find books that will speak to them or that have a protagonist that they can identify with.
