While in the times of COVID-19, our students were sent home to learn. They were given a computer or papers and given the freedom to work as they or their parents chose at home. I know as a parent that my own children would move around the house finding the most comfortable place to get their learning on. Now my children have gone back into the classroom and back at a desk. I want to keep my students comfortable as we all work at transitioning back into the regular classroom. Giving students different seating allows them to find what works best for them. The option to have a traditional chair will still be there as well as sitting on the floor with a lap desk. Those that prefer traditional desks but alternative seats will be happy to see the addition of new seats in the classroom. I like having the flexibility to give my students options. These options in the class give them freedom to show their individuality. Students deserve to be comfortable in their classroom and it is my goal to make this a reality. I look forward to seeing the excitement on their faces when these new chairs can be provided to them.
