Gone are the days when students sit quietly in rows. Gone are the days when students with any type of disability are shuttled away into separate rooms. And thank goodness for that!! Many of our kiddos have ADD, ADHD, Autism and other disabilities that make sitting still and quiet so very difficult!! Chair bands will help my special students sit in class and constantly move their feet without disturbing their peers; Surf Chairs will allow students to sit on the floor, in the hallway, outside or anywhere that they want and still learn and be a part of the classroom. Your help in purchasing these items for my classroom would be more appreciated that I can explain in words. The only way you could truly understand the gratitude is if you have the amazing good fortune to look into the eyes of a child who has struggled to learn finally get it, the suddenly understand things that come so easily to their peers. That look, that light, is the best sight in the world and why I ask for your help with these purchases.
