In my classroom once we have established a concept, I will have my struggling students gather as a small group to help spend more time on the specific concept. Having a dry erase table will give us the opportunity to work together as a group, where students can easily show their own thought process as a group and visually see what I as the teacher am trying to show them with that particular math concept. This particular tables size and shape provides a safe place to socially distance all while being able to work as a small group. My students often ask if they can complete their independent work in a different space other than their desk. Having this particular flexible seating will provide a desk-like workspace where students can distance themselves from each other and get away from their actual desk for a bit. It will be a wonderful incentive! Lastly, my students use whiteboards on an almost daily basis. Having boogie board tablets will provide another creative way for students to do their daily practice and take notes. It will be wonderful for students to use these and be able to click a button to erase and easily sanitize once we are done with our lesson for the day. By donating to our project, these materials will provide flexibility in learning in a fun, clean and socially distancing way!
