The use of dry erase boards will be a daily activity during our whole group phonics instruction to increase student participation and focus. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift certificates will allow me to purchase resources that are aligned to the science of reading to help bridge the gaps in my students phonemic awareness and phonics skills. These gaps in phonological skills have increased due to Covid-19. Dry erase boards will help increase students participation and allow me a quick way to monitor students' understanding and practice of specific phonics skills. Mastery of these phonics skills will help my students' reading and writing skills.
