Students in the classroom will have the opportunity to engage in independent living skills with the funding of this project! Students will get to learn safe kitchen practices and how to cook or use appliances that they have in their own homes. My students will experience cooking safely, while learning to make practical recipes that allow independence in their lives! For example, students will learn how to wash dishes, use a toaster, toaster oven and even a stove top burner. They will learn how to implement safe practices in the kitchen that can be applied in their daily lives and beyond school!
