Each one of my requested items will benefit a student directly with academic and social-emotional learning. The writing tablets will give my students an engaging tool to help them focus and learn in class. We can use them for whole group discussions, partner work, and individual work in the classroom. The stem bin fillers give my students an opportunity to play while learning. Students use creative and critical thinking to design and build structures ranging from buildings to parks to people. One of the largest learning gaps caused by COVID-19 is in reading. All of the reading materials will help me decrease those gaps in fun and engaging ways. Students will be able to work on their level with materials to get their own unique learning experience in my classroom.
