Due to COVID-19, many of my students have missed traditional classroom learning and structure. While they are eager and excited to learn, it can be difficult for them to focus on instruction. It is critical that they have a lot of opportunity for movement to help focus their body. The wobble stools will help tremendously during small group instruction so that my students can be focused during this critical instruction time. This is a unique school year; students require more motivational activities and direct instruction for how to be social and work in cooperative groups. S.T.E.M. activities will be perfect for this! They will get the experience of cooperating with others. They will work on the social skills many of them lack while using critical thinking skills as well. The opportunity to participate in S.T.E.M. activities can serve as a wonderful motivation also.
