In teaching gravity, force & motion, and other Newton's concepts, it is often difficult to isolate certain aspects. Gravity is all around us. Demonstrating and measuring gravity's effect on an object is difficult. The Drop Tower helps eliminate user error and inconsistency in measurement in a more affordable manner compared to other options. Hands-on and project based learning is vital to proper development of scientific concepts and Oklahoma Science Standards. My goal as an 8th Grade Science teacher is to prepare my students for future science classes that go into much greater detail.
