As a first year teacher, with not many basic classroom essentials. My project is to promote reading skills within the classroom by creating an in classroom library. Due to Covid-19, most students have fallen behind on reading skills. With this project, I want to create an atmosphere and a place where reading is encouraged. This will be provided by the various books that are listed in my cart, along with the headset allowing my lower level readers to use these for auditory reading. I want to give the students an opportunity to physically pickup a book. This can be from the students reading on their own or listening to the story (Lower Level readers). Reading is something that people use everyday, I want to encourage the love of reading.
