I am on a mission to diversify and improve my lending and instructional library. The materials selected are twofold: First sets of books that are HIGH interest to my at-risk readers. They are motivated by these particular genres, authors, and/or titles. The Gordon Korman books are particularly for my male, reluctant readers. My job as a Reading Specialist is to hook kiddos with books and it can take a toll on my bank account. I am asking for help in the funding of new books for my intermediate students. Secondly, a few professional reads are listed to help me in my pursuit of knowledge surrounding the Science of Reading. Thank you for your consideration of helping me continue to learn, grow, and inspire.
