Being a special education classroom there are wide range of disabilities and behaviors in the room. I have mixture of behaviors in the classroom. As a teacher I want to help all my student to learn in the best environment they can. I want them to be successfully in the classroom. Some of the students are sensitive to screaming or yelling. These students will totally shut down or have melt downs when this behavior occurs in the classroom. The noise-cancelling headphones would help students with a sensory overloaded from the noise. Covid-19 has limited the places or activities that special needs children can do because of their health concerns or underlining conditions they may have. Beside home, the classroom may be the only place they can feel successful.
