I am a speech-language pathologist at an elementary school. The items on my project will help me to create a fun, engaging, and safe environment for my students to work on communication skills. My goal is to make sure my students feel safe and loved in my classroom every single day. I use toys, games, and other hands-on items to foster authentic communication opportunities during every therapy session. The lamp in my project list would allow for me to turn off the harsh florescent lights when my students who have sensory needs cannot tolerate the bright overhead lights.
