I teach at a school wide Title 1 school which means that most of our students are low income. The students in my class are not exception but are of exceptional need. I teach a self contained special education room with a variety of needs. Because of their socio economic status, many of my students have not had the material that they need at home, specifically sensory material. Now that we are back to in-person learning, I would like to fill my classroom with new and better sensory material. If funded, I will use the material to make sure that sensory needs are met therefore, making academic progress and meeting IEP goals.
