I have a class of 28 students and I have 6 dry erase tables that can only accommodate 24 students. I have 4 students who currently sit at a round blue table with wobbly noisy legs that does not have a dry erase surface to write on like the rest of the class. We use the dry erase tables in various ways during our math lessons. I am able to model various math strategies and leave them to solve an equation on their own once I have retaught the strategy. Students are not restricted to loose-leaf paper and pencils to quickly solve an equation and they can erase mistakes with ease. It has been proven to me that students are more engaged and creative during our math lessons because they feel free to draw and write whatever come to their mind.
